TALC IN PLASTICS:
The use of Talc permits higher level of impact resistance in auto parts thus enhancing safety; it imparts thermal and electrical resistance while being chemically inert; Talc is used as anti-blocking agent in packing bags for food articles. Our Talc is used in a wide range of plastic applications such as rigid PVC, Polyolefines, Nylon, other thermoplastics, PUR duroplastics, castings, glass-fiber-reinforced, powder coatings, home furniture, auto parts and pipes etc.
Our Talc is also used in vinyl floor tiles in sizeable quantity. It also goes into polyesters, epoxies and polypropylene. Its use with polypropylene to fill dents on vehicle bodies is of growing importance. In polypropylene loading of 20 or 40 percent are usual. Its use improves rigidity and dimensional stability at high temperatures.
TALC IN PUTTIES:
Polyester putties normally use between 13% and 15% styrene to reduce viscosity. The addition of low oil-absorption talc enables formulators to reduce styrene content to comply with European standards, while maintaining the viscosity at the appropriate level.
